The AutoNsider: Driving While Black and Confronted by Police

Diamond Reynolds and her fiancée Philando Castile were victims of driving while black. On July 6, 2016, in Falcon Heights, Minnesota. Castile was pulled over on a routine traffic stop by a St. Anthony Police Department officer, Jeronimo Yanez. During the traffic stop, Officer Yanez asked for Castile’s driver’s license and vehicle registration. Live streaming the incident, Reynolds said Castile told the officer he was legally carrying a concealed weapon and was shot as he reached for his identification, after she said the officer asked Castile for his ID.

On today’s special episode of The AutoNsider, Daryl brings on Rule of Law Radio host Eddie Craig. Craig, a former sheriffs deputy shares his advice on actions a person should take if they should ever be pulled over by a police officer.
