The Morning Sports News: ‘All-Star’

Braves pitcher Julio Teheran has been named to the All-Star game, but was scratched from his start tonight due to an infection on his right thigh, Hugh said “I’m pretty sure this is nothing serious and he will just be on antibiotics to heal this.”

Meanwhile the Braves lost last night to the Phillies who used four blasts off Mike Foltynewicz to propel them to 5-1 victory, Zach Eflin handcuffed the Braves in a complete game effort to earn the win. Lone highlight for Atlanta was provided by Ender Inciarte, who hit his first home run as a Brave, Tyrell Jenkins will get his first Major League start today against the Phillies.

Oscar Pistorius has been sentenced to six years in prison for the murder of his Girlfriend, this is the second time he has been convicted of the same crime. Hugh said “This is a weird story all the way around, and the fact that this is the second time he has been convicted of the same crime, they obviously don’t believe in double-jeopardy.”
