The Morning Sports News: “Streak Snapped”

At Turner Field Wednesday, the Braves finally ended their 11 game home losing streak getting a 5-1 win over the Phillies.  Hugh thinks “it was nice to get off to a fast start, they got it going early, sustained it and got the win”. Freddie Freeman hit his sixth home run of the season as part of a three for four night. The story was Williams Perez who held the Phillies to two hits over eight innings while making an emergency start.  The final game of the series is tonight with Aaron Blair facing Vince Velasquez.

Falcons players Sean Weatherspoon, Alex Mack, and Mohamed Sanu met with the media yesterday, Spoon says he feels as well as he has in a while, and is doing all the little things that he can to be ready for the season.

The Golden State Warriors have moved on to the NBA’s Western Conference Finals eliminating the Blazers in five games Wednesday with a 125-121 win.  Also Wednesday Toronto topped Miami 99-91 to lead that series three games to two.
