Actor Stephan James stopped by the 92-9 The Game studios on Monday and talked to Carl Dukes and Mike Bell about playing Jesse Owens in the new film “Race”. The movie hits theaters on February 19th.
James says some his biggest acting influences are “Christian Bale, Leonardo DiCaprio and Tom Hardy”. James was born and raised in Toronto and this will be his second big hit dealing with the issue of race in the first half of the 20th century in America. He also starred in “Selma”.
Stephan talks about making the movie in Berlin, the use of CGI to create 150,000 Nazis in the Olympic stadium and his pick for the Super Bowl.
