BROOKHAVEN, Ga. (CBS Atlanta) — A man is accused of breaking the glass door at a Waffle House because he was angry that the price of a sausage biscuit jumped 50 cents.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports Mitchell Feinberg got upset Sunday morning at the Peachtree Road Waffle House because he was charged $1.50 for his sausage biscuit, instead of the $1 he allegedly paid previously.
Brookhaven Police say Feinberg got up from his booth, threw his bill on the floor and kicked the front glass door, shattering it to pieces.
“When the Waffle House employee tells you the sausage biscuit is no longer $1 and the new price is $1.50 please refrain from punching the glass door while storming out,” the department posted on its Facebook page. “Glass tends to shatter when met with such force and you will be swiftly taken into custody.”
The Journal-Constitution reports Feinberg was detained at a nearby apartment complex where he told authorities he “barely” kicked the door.
He was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree criminal damage to property.
