Residents of Friendship Towers say they are being told to leave the hotel where they’ve been staying while the air conditioning is fixed at their residential high-rise. The management company for the building, located on Northside Drive, is who the residents say has ordered them to leave the hotel. The air hasn’t been working properly for months at the apartment building. It’s a matter that has been in the courts with a judge ordering the residents not to pay their rent. The management company insists that the air is now fixed at the facility.
Now comes another issue. Derrick Bozeman, a spokesman for the residents, says that the judge in the case, Jerry Baxter, should recuse himself from the matter.
