Labor Day Travel Expected To Be Heavy

Atlanta (WAOK)- “Triple A” projects that 34-point-seven million Americans will travel 50 miles or more from home during Labor Day weekend. That’s the highest volume for the holiday since 2008 and a one-point-three percent increase over 2013. “Triple A” says 971-thousand of those travelers will be from Georgia. The majority of them, or nearly 850-thousand, will travel by car. With so many drivers on the road, you can expect beefed up efforts from Georgia State Highway Patrol along the highways and interstates.

Some of those drivers may be traveling to any number of entertainment offerings.
