Dekalb County Commissioner Elaine Boyer, has officially resigned after informing the public that she is being investigated by federal authorities for spending taxpayer money. Reports allege that Boyer charged over 16 thousand dollars in personal purchases to her county purchasing card. While being County Commissioner, Elaine Boyer was most known for spearheading investigations into other Dekalb County officials accused of corruption, most notably former Dekalb County CEO Vernon Jones.

Vernon Jones called into Real Talk and spoke with host Rashad Richey about Boyer’s recent resignation.
