Teacher On Leave After Making Students Re-Enact Michael Brown Shooting
SELMA, Ala. (CBS Atlanta) – A teacher has been placed on administrative leave after instructing students to re-enact the August 9 shooting death of teenager Michael Brown.
The Dallas County School System is conducting an investigation into the alleged incident that occurred in a sixth grade classroom at Brantley Elementary School after a parent of one of the students complained about the class assignment.
Brown, was unarmed when he was fatally shot by a Ferguson, Missouri police officer. His death has sparked days of protesting and riots around the country.
The teacher’s name has yet to be released, WSFA reported.
