Today was the first day of school for many kids in Atlanta today, and what a way to start off the school year by announcing that low-income families can now get free internet for their children!
Today on Too Much Truth, Derrick Boazman had the pleasure of speaking with David L. Cohen, Executive VP of Comcast, John Grant Jr. , CEO of 100 Black Men of Atlanta Inc., and Dr. Steven Lee who is the Atlanta Board of Education Member of District 5.
They came on the show to make a very important announcement to those who have children and cannot afford internet. They have created a program called the Comcast Internet Essentials, which allows families to sign up for internet for only $9.95 a month. The other great news is that when you sign up for the program, the first six months is free!
