Atlanta Employees Cash In on Unused Vacation Time
Many people have mixed opinions when it comes to elected officials monetizing off of their unused vacation time. Moreover, tens of thousands of tax dollars are paying for it. Is it fair? Is it legal? Several members of Mayor Kasim Reed’s administration sold their unused vacation time back to the city, and received tens of thousands in payments as compensation- with Atlanta Police Chief George Turner being the top earner, as he racked in $79,000 for his unused vacation time. Councilwoman Felicia Moore got real with Rashad Richey regarding the issue.
