Woman Attacked At Phipps Plaza

Atlanta-(WAOK/Fox 5) Atlanta police are searching for two suspects they believe attacked a woman Monday night.

According to police  the victim was at Twist restaurant and investigators believe she was attacked when walking to her car.

The men beat the victim to the ground and took off in her car, according to police.

“She was approached by two males who demanded her vehicle so not only did they steal her car but beat her up in the process,” said Sergeant Greg Lyon with the Atlanta Police Department.

The victim told police one of the men was screaming at her using obscenities and threatened to shoot her if she did not do as they said.  The woman suffered  severe bruising and swelling on her face.

Police are on the lookout for her Silver 5 Series BMW and are reviewing surveillance video.

Phipps Plaza released a statement indicating a 24 hour security patrol of the mall, parking garages and surrounding parking lots policy.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Atlanta Police Department.
