Phil Simms: “The League Is Going Back To Something It Had A Longtime Ago”

NFL TV Analyst for CBS Sports and 2 time Super Bowl winner, Phil Simms joined The Morning Show with Marc James, Randy Cross, and Jamal Anderson to discuss the Atlanta Falcons and Hard Knocks Ep 1.

When asked his opinion of Hard Knocks episode 1, the former Super Bowl MVP answered “In this day and age of scoring, all we heard last night was be tough, be physical. The league is going back to something it had a longtime ago and quite honestly I think it’s fun to watch. You can draw up all the plays you want, but when the other team keeps smacking you in the face, there’s only one answer for that.”

Speaking on Atlanta Falcons QB Matt Ryan, Phil shared “He’s a franchise QB, there’s no doubt about it. Last year he showed how tough he is. I always wondered would he be a big-time enough thrower in the NFL and he’s made me eat those words. He’s a terrific QB.”
