Kendrick Johnson’s Parents Sue School System In His Death
Atlanta (WAOK)-The parents of Kendrick Johnson are suing the Lowndes County school district for the wrongful death of their son. Kendrick Johnson was 17 years old when his body was found rolled up in a wrestling mat in his Valdosta high school gymnasium back in January 2013.
At the time of his death the Lowndes County medical examiner ruled Kendrick’s death an accident. Kendrick’s parents, Kenneth and Jacquelyn Johnson have always maintained their son was murdered.
Monday’s lawsuit says the Lowndes County Board of Education was negligent for not stopping another student from repeatedly harassing Kendrick.
Attorney Benjamin Crump who represented the family of Trayvon Johnson is also representing Kendrick Johnson’s family.
