Broken Promises Leave Fulton County Families in the Street

Today on Real Talk with Rashad Richey, our special guests were Natasha Jones, D’Angela Curate, and Tim Franzen the organizer for Occupy Our Homes Atlanta.

Natasha Jones and D’Angela Curate were a part of a federally funded program known as Permanent Supportive Housing Program. Unfortunately, due to political bickering on homelessness in Fulton County the women and their children were forced to leave their homes for no apparent reason. To qualify for the program, the family must have one member with a disability. The goal of the program is to create a permanent housing situation for families and put them in situations to have a positive impact on their community.

Natasha and D’Angela are currently without a place of permanent residence, however they are receiving assistance from Occupy Our Homes Atlanta, in efforts to rectify this unfortunate situation.
