A farewell breakfast for the Phonesavanh family and their son, Baby Bou Bou, will be held on Wednesday, July 2 at the Delightful Eatz Restaurant as they prepare to return to their home in Wisconsin.
Bounkham “Bou Bou” Phonesavanh is the 19 month old who was severely injured after a Habersham County Sheriff executed a “no-knock” search warrant at the home where Bou Bou and his family were living .
The Phonesavanh Family is originally from Wisconsin but moved to Georgia after their house burned down.
Bou Bou is set to be released from Children’s Hospital at Scottish Rite after being treated for severe burns from a flash bang grenade. His rehabilitation is set to be continued in Wisconsin.
“Bou Bou has a long way to go,” said Bou Bou’s mother Alecia Phonesavanh. “he has suffered brain injury, still has damage to his chest and has lost his left nipple. After surviving his face and chest being blown open, his strength and fight for full recovery is keeping us hopeful. He is our miracle,” said Phonesavanh.
