Leaders To Host Black College Success Summit

ATLANTA (AP) — Leaders of historically black colleges and universities, educators and others are expected to meet in Atlanta for a national summit on student success at black colleges.

Officials from the Association of Public and Land-Grant Universities say the conference June 19-21 will be focused on developing regional and national strategies for improving student success at historically black colleges and universities. Atlanta is home to several HBCUs, including Clark Atlanta University, Spelman College, Morehouse College and Morris Brown College.

Organizers say the summit is expected to include discussions on diversity and inclusion, effective retention and graduation programs, increasing international opportunities and more.

The summit is being held at the Embassy Suites hotel in downtown Atlanta.
