JACKSON, Miss. (AP) — KFC Corp. says it is investigating allegations that a staffer at a restaurant in Jackson, Mississippi asked a 3-year-old to leave because her facial injuries frightened other patrons.

The allegation was made Wednesday on “Victoria’s Victories,” a Facebook page following Victoria Wilcher’s recovery from a pit bull attack in April. A photo of her shows scars and a cartoon-decorated eye patch.

KFC posted an apology on the page, requesting details.

That statement and one emailed to The Clarion-Ledger say KFC won’t tolerate hurtful or disrespectful actions to guests.

On Saturday, the page’s administrator wrote that “Victoria’s Victories” had gone from 250 people praying for Victoria to thousands.

By Sunday, the page had more than 30,000 “likes.”
