Two Fulton County inmates are being investigated after getting caught performing sexual activity on the medical wing of the Fulton County jail.
Inmates Norris Speed, who is on death row for the murder of Atlanta police officer Niles Johangten in 1991, and Jasmine Jones, who had been booked there on robbery and murder charges, were let out of their cells to go to the medical wing of the facility when they snuck off to have sex.
Speed denied the allegations while Norris said it was consensual sex.
The incident rose awareness to two problems in the Fulton County jail: faulty locks and lengthy wait times for trials.
Authorities are set to tighten up on security in the facility by replacing the locks with properly functioning, sturdier ones.
