NFL Hall of Famer and former Houston Oilers/Tennessee Titans offensive lineman, Bruce Matthews joins the show to discuss his reaction of his son Jake Matthews being drafted by the Falcons and why the team is a great fit for him. Matthews said “We were real excited for Jake to be drafted to the Falcons. We felt Atlanta was optimal.”

Bruce Matthews shared “I think Jake is very capable at playing tackle. He’ll take his bumps and bruise because it’s a different game than the college game” speaking on if he thinks Jake should start at guard or shift to tackle.

When asked where he felt Jake should have been drafted, Matthews said “It’s very difficult for me to be objective because I think he should have went #1 overall. His biggest adjustment is realizing these guys are bigger, stronger, and faster than anything he’s seen in the SEC.”

Speaking on the Atlanta Falcons organization Bruce Matthews felt the Falcons were a first class organization in his brief meeting with them after the Draft.
