A local community activist group is offering ten thousand dollars to find, arrest and prosecute the man responsible for kidnapping a nine year old boy from Fairburn, Georgia two weeks ago. Young Willie Myrick went outside of his home to feed his chihuahua, saw some money on the ground in his front yard and was taken by a man in his 20’s.

Eastpoint Police are looking for a light complexioned black man in his mid to late 20’s with medium length dreadlocks. The man was driving a silver or gray Honda Accord or Civic with the carpet missing from the floor board.

While Willie was not harmed by the man and was released a few hours after his abduction, the incident has raised the fears of parents in the Metro area and brings back memories of the infamous missing and murdered children’s case from more than 30 years ago.

Community activists urge parents to be vigilant about the whereabouts of their children even if they are close to home.  Here is a sketch of the image of the man police are searching for in this case.  If you have any information about this case please contact Atlanta Police at 404-546-5533.
