Like to “pig out” when you go to the ballpark?
So do we.
Here’s the thing though, you should plan on spending a fortune at Turner Field to do so. The Ted offers your standard choice of concessions, including hot dogs, hamburgers, sodas, popcorn, peanuts and the staple of every baseball park ever built, Cracker Jacks.
They also offer desserts such as Dip N’ Dots, Edy’s Ice Cream, frozen lemonade and a scoop of your favorite ice cream in a miniature Braves souvenier helmet.
The key word in that last offering is miniature.
You’ve all seen them, those cute little helmets that fit into the palm of your hand. They hold about one scoop of ice cream.
Well, the fine concessions folks in Chicago (White Sox, not Cubs) have come up with something better.
And by better we mean huge. After all, when your scooping out ice cream to eat at home, do you stop at one scoop?
Let us answer that for you… no.
The White Sox are offering a twelve scoop banana split in a FULL SIZE batting helmet.
And it only costs $17.
Exactly what we were thinking. AWESOME.
Four scoops of chocolate, four scoops of vanilla and four scoops of strawberry ice cream with two bananas, caramel syrup, chocolate syrup, cherries and of course, whipped cream.

Now just imagine, it’s a hot summer day at the ball park, the sound of the crowd talking, the crack of the bat as the ball is sent dropping into short center field… and THAT in your hands.
Enough with Spring Training. Other stadiums should line up and duplicate this menu masterpiece and BRING ON BASEBALL!
Alright, off to the gym to work out.
