This morning we had the privilege to speak with National Collegiate Basketball Hall of Fame Class of 2014 inductees and retired NBA star, Grant Hill. The guys asked if Grant cried during Duke’s 1st Round upset to the Mercer Bears. Grant shared that “he didn’t cry, but the upset was one of my reasons I love the tournament”. He further explained that “the tournament is a great indication of what a team really has”. Jason asked “does he ever pick against Duke or go with his heart?”. Grant’s response was”he always picks Duke to win!” The conversation shifted to today’s powerhouse teams in the west and weak east. Grant explained that things “happen in cycles” as the east was powerful when he entered the league. Grant shared his involvement with the Affordable Care Act and stated “regardless of what political side you sit on, you need insurance”. As the interview wrapped the guys asked has Shaq even tackled him in the Turner Studios,in regards to Shaq’s investigation an alleged assault incident at TNT after a co-worker of his was injured. Grant didn’t have a tackling story to share, but he did share how big hearted and playful the “big fella” is!
