More InformationFor more information about the Affordable Care Act, visit CBSAtlanta.net/ACA.
On today’s show Reverend Al Sharpton picked up last week’s discussion on the Affordable Care Act also known as “Obamacare,” and strongly encouraged Americans to get registered. The March 31st deadline for open enrollment is quickly approaching. Al Sharpton was joined on his show by the White House Public Engagement Advisor Heather Foster and recording artist Adrienne Bailon who gave some interesting facts about the healthcare enrollment. 5 million people have already signed up for the Affordable Care Act, despite the controversial problems with the website. Out of those 4.2 million, 6 out of 10 people found coverage for less than $100. Many young adults are graduating college and finding themselves without any affordable health insurance.Together they stressed the importance of young and healthy Americans signing up in order for the system to fully function. Foster advised Americans to sign up and at least see what options are available to them. Listen to the discussion below…
