Here’s the thing…
The Braves season hasn’t even started yet, and we’re already worried about one the teams starters.
Right-hander Kris Medlen walked off the field on Sunday in the middle of an inning. Not even between hitters.
In replays and GIFs you could clearly see Medlen grabbing at his right forearm and his right elbow.
This could be news of the “not so good” variety.
Medlen is 28 years old and had Tommy John surgery back in summer 2010.
He had 31 starts last season and went 15 and 12 with a .311 ERA.
Gonzalez has said that Medlen was in the running to start on Opening Day.
And if this wasn’t bad enough news, the Braves left-hander Mike Minor has already been affected by a shoulder problem.
Really? Injuries mounting and we’re not even into the season yet?
This sound familiar?
Falcons training camp last year ring a bell?
Hopefully the team can overcome these injuries and start the season hitting on all cylinders. If not, it could be a long season.
