Olympic medalist Elana Meyers, a native of Douglasville, stopped by the 92-9 The Game Midtown studios to chat with Carl and Kordell about her experiences in Sochi.
Elana had literally just returned from Russia but spent half an hour with the guys dishing about the Olympic village, the food, the language problems, the thrill of competing and winning that silver medal.
Elana’s dad played with 92-9 The Game’s own Jamie Dukes and she says, “Growing up in Atlanta and being able to go over, I guess they were in Suwanee at the time, and I remember watching them practice and being there in the gym, eating McDonald’s and playing with Freddy Falcon too, but just having that kind of role model from a very young age, it inspires you to whatever you choose to do to do it at a high level.”
