Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was arrested early Tuesday morning. The arrest took place in Gwinnett County.
White was charged with failure to appear.
The arrest took place around 4:30 a.m. according to Gwinnett County police.
White only spent some 90 minutes in jail as he was released on a bond of $168 around 6:00 a.m.
This all stems from a very minor incident, a traffic charge, in which he was charged with having “non-transparent material on windows” according to court records. He then apparently failed to show up to court on his court date.
The Atlanta Falcons have released the following statement:
“We are aware of the incident involving Roddy White. We anticipate this will be resolved shortly and we will have no further comment at this time.”
