Big news from National Signing Day as it was no surprise that RB/WR Myles Autry is headed downtown to Georgia Tech, and DE Lorenzo Carter will be making his way to Athens to play alongside Georgia! Coming out of Norcross High School are 2 of the states top recruits in Autry, who overcame a knee injury his junior year to return better than ever as a standout senior that averaged over 9.5 yards a game, and Carter, arguably the most explosive Defensive End in the county that totaled up 125 tackles last season. Needless to say, the play of both of these athletes is what lead to a state championship (twice) for the Blue Devils. Now, both play for something bigger. A National Championship in DIV 1 college football. Only one difference. Different playing fields for both men.

Autry joins “The Feast” as they call it on a Yellow Jackets Offense that Ranked 118th overall in Rushing yards, but Ranked 6th in passing on a promising note. Myles will be getting a look at A-Back. If your not football smart, google what that means, find Autrys’ highlights, and tell me that this will possibly be one the best decisions for Tech that they’ve made in a long time. Myles’s speed can assure him plenty of tosses and sweeps, and as some good catches in the backfield along the way.

Carter chose the route to join a revamped defense under former FSU Defensive Coordinator Jeremy Pruitt at UGA. Pruitt Brings a National Title on his finger, that is a true testament that not only left FSU undefeated last season, but left the team with only 2 games decided by a combined total of 3 possessions. The Bulldogs gave up a little over 30 points per game last season. Carter coming in can add a dangerous rush game  exploding off the end, and can prove an early eye opener for the new DC.

In the end it can only be one. Even though these 2 won’t play each other until the final game of the regular season, they have chosen to remain the best of friends no matter what the outcome will be. Both can play, both went to the same school, and brought back to back state rings to the program. Now, both are trying to change things for their respective committed locations, and carry home a much bigger prize.

To hear the interviews collected from both players look below. Yeah I know, I’m supposed to be the basketball guy, but if it makes you feel any better, Lorenzo is playing on a basketball team that won state last year…
