Atlanta (WAOK)- Atlanta’s DJ Nando’s life was remembered by family and friends in Northeast Atlanta on Friday. Co-workers of the popular DJ gathered in the parking lot of Club Onyx, where he worked, for a candle lighting memorial. DJ Nando, also known as William Fernando Barnes, wasn’t thought to have any enemies so the reason behind his death has baffled many who knew him. “To speculate is horrible but the whole point is we want justice for our friend,” said friend and fellow DJ Dante Williams. “It was just so out of the blue.” The Club Owners of Georgia and Barnes’ family have arranged a $10,000 reward for anyone who may have information or details leading up to the killer of DJ Nando. Relatives have also created a memorial fund for any monetary donations at Wells Fargo Bank. The monies received will go towards the funding of the funeral. A wake was held Saturday for the public to pay their respects at the Donald Trimble Mortuary in Decatur.
