Georgia Picks Up Two Top Huge Recruits Over Bama
Is the Tide turning?
Georgia has picked up not one, but two, top recruits lately. And both of them chose UGA over Alabama at the very last second leaving Coach Richt and Coach Lilly “speechless”.
2015 Callaway High’s Terry Godwin, a 5-Star recruit, says he did not exactly know what to expect from the coaches on his commitment to UGA when he announced it this morning. But “they were speechless.” Godwin says.
Godwin is “one of the better 2015 athletes in the country,” according to Scout.com’s Chad Simmons.
Godwin’s commitment is the second huge 2015 verbal commitment in the last two days.
Prior to that Georgia picked up cornerback / safety Rico McGraw, a 4-Star recruit, when he also chose UGA over Alabama.

This one could be attributed to brand new DC Jeremy Pruitt, even though he’s only been on the job for a few days. Rico says:
“I love Jeremy Pruitt, and he has been recruiting me since my sophomore year. I know he is a defensive coordinator that will get me where I need to be. I loved Georgia, and they were one of my favorite schools for a long time. I wanted an offer from the old staff. So getting the first one from Coach Pruitt meant the world to me.”
Rico had been recruited by Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, South Carolina, Tennessee and Pruitt’s former program, Florida State.
The 6’0″, 190-pound Ensworth product is rated as the No. 10 cornerback and the No. 2 prospect from the state of Tennessee for 2015 in 247Sports’ composite rankings.
