92-9 The Game’s afternoon show, GameTime, interviewed Dee Dee Bonner, the mother of Alabama quarterback AJ McCarron, this afternoon.

Hosts Carl Dukes and Kordell Stewart, along with guest co-host Program Director Terry Foxx, spoke with Bonner and the way McCarron was raised, his values and more, and how it developed him into the player he was on the field today.

When Foxx asked Bonner about how she felt with this being the last week of her son’s collegiate career, “after all of the bake sales, etc”, McCarron’s mom became emotional stating “You’re going to make me cry. I’m not going to cry on this show.”

Well, as much as she willed it, oh yes she was going to cry.

And who could blame her. Her son has accomplished success that very few others have.

AJ turned out to be an amazing person, an amazing quarterback and an amazing leader on and off the field. And from what we can tell, with a Mom like Dee Dee Bonner, how could he not have.
