HBCU coaching legend Joe Taylor joined the 12/20/13 edition of the HBCU report to talk about his recent appointment as the Director of Athletics at Virginia Union University, the landscape of HBCU Athletics, and who could be the next Joe Taylor…

Taylor the former head football coach at Florida A&M University, Hampton University, and Virginia Union University has won 4 National Championships, 14 Conference Championships, 7 Bowl Games, and has a lifetime win-loss record of 233-96-4.

Coach Taylor has been elected to three Halls of Fame: Western Illinois University, Virginia Union University, and The Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association. Coach Taylor has served on numerous committees for American Football Coaches Association, served on the Board of Trustees, and became their president in 2001.
