HENDERSONVILLE, N.C. (AP) — Authorities in Henderson County have arrested a man who they say left a 3-year-old, a 17-month-old and a seven-month-old alone in his home.
The Henderson County Sheriff’s Office says 43-year-old Daniel A. Lind is charged with three counts of misdemeanor child neglect.
A statement from the sheriff’s office said deputies got word that the three children were left in the home. An investigation showed the children had been alone for at least 4 1/2 hours Thursday.
Deputies found the children’s mother, who was working at a local business and thought the children were home with their father.
Lind was arrested after deputies spotted him walking on U.S. 64. He was jailed under a $3,000 bond, but his status couldn’t be determined Friday. It’s not known if he has an attorney.
