Keepin’ It Real w/ Al Sharpton: Famous Hip-Hop Mogul Prefers being called the “N-Word” over “African American”
On today’s show Al Sharpton tackled the controversial subject of the “N-word, as Suge Knight recently told TMZ that he prefers being called the N-word rather than African-American. Knight is the founder and CEO of Black Kapital Records and co-founder of Death Row Records. Knight goes on to explain, “I like that better than ‘African-American,’ we not from Africa, we Black.”
In an online TMZ poll, a shocking 55% of people agreed that black people should be called the “N-word” as opposed to “African-American.” Al Sharpton expressed his opposition to the word, but asked callers was there an appropriate time for the N-word to be used.
