Knock knock knock! Bang bang bang! Boom boom boom! That’s the sound of opportunity knocking at Danny Ferry’s front door. The thing about opportunity is it will not stand out in the cold for long before it goes elsewhere for comfort. Opportunity always seem to come on time and not necessarily at an expected time. Therefore, it would be sage for Ferry to stay alert as to not be caught off guard by a loud thumping sound.
Power move is the name of the opportunity and the time to make a power move may be now for the Atlanta Hawks. With Al Horford and Paul Millsap performing so well early in the season this may be the time to fill a need at the center position by dangling one of the power forwards in the face of Daryl Morey, Houston Rockets general manager, for Omer Asik who, according to the Rockets front office, plan on dealing the 27 year old, seven foot walking double double before December 19th. It will be up to Ferry to answer that door soon because the Cleveland Cavs, Boston Celtics and Philadelphia 76ers may also get a chance to respond to that knock.
