Atlanta (WAOK / AJC) – The city of Decatur may replace all of its downtown parking meters by next March pending a vote by city commission. This vote could come as early as next Monday.
All 300 of the parking meters will be replaced if the measure is approved. The new meters will replace outdated meters, allowing for people to pay for parking by cash, credit, debit card or payment by cellular phone.
The types of new meters will vary, with some being single-head and others solar-powered kiosks.
