The final four of the highest classification in HS Football invade The Georgia Dome tonight in two “Huge” Semi-Final matchups. This season, the Class AAAAAA football playoffs have been great to watch (I been to several games) and I can’t wait to be at the Dome tonight! After last week, my record is 21-7 (75%) in my predictions. That might sound “low” to some, but I think it’s pretty good.  Let’s get into the matchups in details.

The first matchup put the “Surprised” team the McEachern Indians taking on the North Gwinnett Bulldogs. The trip for the Indians to the dome has been “Un-believable”. With wins over a decent Newton team (in the first round) and (2) great teams (Hughes Co. and Collins Hill), they have all of the talent in the world to get another victory against the Bulldogs. The North Gwinnett Bulldogs have had an “Easier” route to the Georgia Dome. With easy wins against Milton and an “overrated” Archer team, they played “Soft” against a Hillgrove team (that almost pulled off the upset). I should be rooting for McEachern (I like the underdogs), but not this time. I am going to take North Gwinnett by 10 points or less.

The Second matchup is the matchup that I am really excited to see. Colquitt County will be taking on the Norcross Blue Devils. Colquitt County has been on a “roller coaster” this season in the playoffs. They played two overrated teams in Dacula & Newnan. The thing that surprised me about them was that they played a great game against a VERY GOOD North Cobb team in the second round. The Norcross Blue Devils (2012 State Champs)  been “united” all playoffs. I have seen this team several times this year (including when Booker T. Washington destroyed them in Florida). This team learned for that game and they have showed it in these playoffs. With what I just say, most of you think that I am taking Norcross by a LARGE margin, but Colquitt County is not a push over. If this is a close game at Halftime, it will be a WAR! I am still taking Norcross by 10 points.

Until Next Week…
