Atlanta Symphony Orchestra And Georgia Humanities Council Present “Georgia Roots Music Festival”

The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra and the Georgia Humanities Council, in partnership with the Smithsonian Institution and University of West Georgia Center for Public History, will present the Georgia Roots Music Festival on Saturday, January 18, 2014, from noon to 6:30 p.m. at the Woodruff Arts Center.

This free, one-day event celebrating Georgia’s extensive and diverse musical heritage will include concerts, discussions, exhibits, and opportunities to interact and perform with festival artists from different genres, such as gospel, string band, bluegrass, country, blues, R&B, folk, immigrant music, and more.
