FAIRHOPE, Ala. (CBS Atlanta) — A 13-year-old girl who lost her leg to cancer got her wish and was able to pray with members of the Robertson family from “Duck Dynasty.”
Phil, Kay, Korie and Si Robertson joined Alan Robertson in a prayer for Skye Loustalot – who is battling osteosarcoma – at the Bay of the Holy Spirit Jubliee Friday in Fairhope, Ala.
“I pray that you’ll bless her with healing and restoration. I pray for her family tonight, Father,” Alan Robertson said during a prayer with the teenage girl, according to AL.com. “I pray you’ll lift them up in a very powerful way. Give her courage.”
Kimberly Wagner, coordinator of the Mapp Child & Family Life Program, said Skye was worried she wasn’t going to make the event and miss out on missing the “Duck Dynasty” cast. AL.com reports Skye had a mass removed from her abdomen two weeks ago.
After hearing about Skye’s story and wish, the Robertsons released a video telling the young girl they are praying for her.
“Hey, Skye, look here. We love you, and we’re praying for you,” Si Robertson said in the video.
Skye was ecstatic how everything went.
“I loved it,” she told AL.com.
“Duck Dynasty” has been a ratings gold mine for A&E, setting a record with 11.8 million viewers for the Season 4 premier.
The Robertsons’ Duck Commander business is located in West Monroe, La.
