The Dred vs The Spread Week 11
Perfection! Perfection! Last week the spread was stomped as both “fa sho” picks, Eagles (+1) and Steelers (-3), and the wildcard pick, Bucs (+2.5), covered. This week will be brief as there is only one “fa sho” to go along with the weekly wildcard pick. So without further due…..
This week’s loan “fa sho” is the Chargers versus the Dolphins in Miami. The Dolphins are in too much turmoil as a team and organization. There is no need for stats detailing how Ryan Tannehill is the most sacked quarterback in the league to pick this one. Being down two starting offensive linemen while the franchise is under investigation by the NFL will keep the Dolphins in remission while the Chargers attempt to stay alive in the AFC West. Take the Chargers (-1.5).
As far as the wildcard pick goes, take the Jets (-1) as they go to Buffalo to play the Bills. Both teams seem somewhat similar due to both teams starting rookie quarterbacks and both teams have a solid front seven. Both teams strengths are their running game as the Bills are 3rd in the league behind Fred Jackson, C. J. Spiller and Tashard Choice while the Jets rank 9th behind Chris Ivory and Bilial Powell. Neither team is great against pass, but the Jets are great against the run. In fact, the Jets are the best in the NFL against the run while the Bills are 29th in the same category. For that reason alone expect the Jets to win a close, quick and low scoring game.
So it’s the Chargers “fa sho” and the Jets make sense. Once again, this is for entertainment purposes only. You may follow me on twitter @nottydred for more stats, Atlanta Hawks information and sports entertainment from the cadre. Til next week, thank you and stay blessed.
