On the 11-15-13 edition of the HBCU Report we were joined by Albany State head football coach Mike White to talk about the Golden Rams 2013 campaign, the legacy of ASU Rams Football, & this weekend’s SIAC Football Championship versus the Miles College Golden Bears.

Did you know Coach White played college football at Albany State during the late 1970s, and was drafted by the Cincinnati Bengals in the fourth round of the 1979 NFL Draft. Following his playing career he joined the ASU football program in 1984 as the defensive line coach, and was promoted to defensive coordinator in 1989. In 1997, White became the assistant head coach, and in 2000, was named head coach of the Albany State Golden Rams.

The SIAC Centennial Football Championship Game is set for a 7 p.m. kickoff on Bounce TV and will feature East Division Champions Albany State University against West Division Champions Miles College.

Bounce TV, the nation’s fastest-growing and only broadcast television network for African Americans, will also televise the SIAC Centennial Football Championship Game.
