ROCKMART, Ga. (AP) — Authorities are investigating a deadly explosion at a manufacturing plant in the northwest Georgia town of Rockmart.

Polk County Coroner Lester Litesey III tells The Associated Press that 56-year-old Elaine Davidson of Rockmart died in the blast.

It happened shortly after 8 a.m. Thursday at the Meggitt Polymers and Composites plant in the town about 45 miles northwest of Atlanta.
