Senator Fort Concerned About Software Issue Causing Problems For Voters

Atlanta (WAOK) — State Senator Vincent Fort says he is very concerned about irregularities with voter registration forms in Fulton County.

Fulton County election officials say  a new web-based system has caused hundreds of people within the metro Atlanta area to have problems.

Thousands of people who have recently registered, moved, or were in a redistricted area have not been told where to vote and in some instances have received a registration card with the wrong precinct information.

The Fulton County elections director Rick Barron said that his employees pulled roughly 20,000 precinct cards that were suspected of being wrong before they were sent out. New cards have been sent to those voters who did not know where to vote on Tuesday.

Senator Fort says Attorney General Eric Holder should sent federal monitors into Atlanta to watch over Tuesday’s election.
