The Atlanta Falcons were able to get back on the winning track last week versus the woeful Tampa Bay Buccaneers by the score of 31-23. Viewing the game you saw Matt Ryan with a great performance going 20 of 26 passing, with 273 yards, three touchdowns. The passing offense was very efficient, spreading the ball around to different receivers, including a huge 1st half by Harry Douglas. However, the Falcons only rushed the ball 18 times for 18 yards, definitely not acceptable going forward. Defensively, there were some signs of life for the Falcons in the pass rush game but struggled at times against the deep ball. This week they face the Arizona Cardinals at the University of Phoenix Stadium. This team will surely have to improve their deep ball coverage going up against the likes of Larry Fitzgerald and Michael Floyd. The much maligned offensive line for the “Dirty Birds” will also face a very capable pass rush for the Cards, including old teammate John Abraham. Here is what I think the Atlanta Falcons have to focus on this week;
