Atlanta (WAOK/CBS Atlanta) –Good news for park visitors who would like to stay connected to the internet through their laptops, smart phones, tablets, and other devices. Wi-Fi is now available for free at Piedmont Park and Grant Park in Atlanta. These wireless networks, which are supported through Comcast Business Internet Services, can support up to 2,000 internet connections at once.

The City of Atlanta has made is easy to access Wi-Fi at the parks by using the “CofAtlanta-Piedmontpark” at Piedmont Park and “CofAtlanta-Grant” at Grant Park.

Mayor Kasim Reed released a press release praising the new networks saying, “As Atlanta continues to grow as a global hub of technology and innovation in the 21st Century, we must find ways to support and drive technological advances. This initiative moves us forward on the path to constant connectivity.”

– Picnic Pavilions
