If one truly has a heart, one will not want another to endure the pain that they have felt. This mantra spurned Edward Long to formulate The Cancer Conquerors Classic (C3) after both his father and two of his uncle’s were diagnosed with prostate cancer. Furthermore, one of those uncle’s unfortunately transitioned after a 16 year bout with prostate cancer. This loss caused Edward to gain even more of an interest in not only the awareness of prostate cancer, but also the healing of and eradication of the disease. Edward joined forces with The William Dillard Foundation founder and prostate cancer conqueror, Mr. William R. Dillard III. William was diagnosed with prostate cancer at the young age of 37. William knows that he was blessed to be informed when he was because 37 far too young to contract this disease. William, who is in great physical condition, is not shy in letting people know that he heard The Lord instruct him to get tested. Being conscious that many people may not be as in tune with hearing the voice of The Lord, William has personally committed to creating as many opportunities as possible for men to be tested. Edward & William have joined forces to present the importance of being checked through as many innovative ways as possible with car shows, bike rides and the 2nd Annual Cancer Conquerors Classic Celebrity Flag Football Game.
