My face says it all…Carl Dukes – Put’em Up
If you look closely you can see what it’s been like watching the Falcons this season. I was really riding on the Tower of Terror ride at Hollywood Studios at Disney last weekend ,but it felt like I was watching a Falcons game. (don’t tell anyone I was the only large black guy screaming)
The Falcons, who last year came within a play or two of the Super Bowl, are 1-4. The Saints are 5-0 it is time to admit that the Falcons are in real trouble. They can’t close out games, which is why they lost in the NFC Championship last season. This year, they couldn’t convert a 4th-and-goal in a Week 1 loss to the Saints, they allowed a last-minute touchdown to Miami in Week 3 and they gave up a 48-yard field goal as time expired in losing to the Jets on Monday Night Football. BOOOOOOO! And Im not talking about Halloween.
Everyone here in the ATL is looking at the O-line, the injuries etc , etc. But Matt Ryan’s really not playing that well
Ryan is averaging 314.6 yards per game and has 10 touchdowns to only three interceptions, but he’s not playing his best when it counts the most. Dukesism “When it matters most” but I will say that Roddy White being hurt has not helped Matt, White’s injury has left Julio Jones double-teamed seemingly every play, and backups Jacquizz Rodgers and Jason Snelling have been asked to carry the load on the ground but the Falcons have gone away from the run at critical spots in games.
Steven Jackson averaged 5.5 yards per carry through two games; Rodgers and Snelling are averaging a combined 3.6. The Falcons offense has no balance. Looking at the playoff picture, the Falcons to catch the Saints, whom they trail by four games, and it’s all but certain that Seattle or San Francisco will win the NFC West, with the other team claiming one of two Wild Card spots. That leaves room for just one other team – and the Lions (3-2) and Bears (3-2) are both two games ahead of Atlanta in the standings.
So with that said listen to my new Falcons Song here
