Atlanta (WAOK/AJC)– With money being a major indication into who will be elected as Mayor of Atlanta, current Mayor Kasim Reed seems primed for re-election. Municipal elections are less than a month away, and Reed has the upper hand over his challengers, raising nearly $5.9 million and carrying $2 million in cash into his re-election bid. Reed has picked up nearly $600,000 in this quarter alone.
Candidates had until Monday to file their latest campaign finance report. These reports detail how much cash they can spend in order to sway and gain voters. Al Bartell has reported $0 in his account, while Glenn Wrightson’s third quarter report was not filed.
