NEW YORK – The University of Georgia’s close call Saturday against Tennessee knocked them down a spot to seventh in the new Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Bulldogs (4-1, 3-0) were ravaged by injuries during Saturday’s 34-31 overtime win at Neyland Stadium. That did not appear to matter to voters who dropped UGA from number six.

Florida State (5-0, 3-0) moved up from eight to six in the poll on the strength of their 63-0 win over previously undefeated ACC rival Maryland.

The top five remained unchanged with Alabama a near-unanimous number one. They are followed by Oregon, Clemson, Ohio State and Stanford.

Texas A&M and LSU are the only other SEC teams to make the top ten this week, coming in at ninth and tenth, respectively.
