Falcons’ Jackson Out For Jets Game

FLOWERY BRANCH – The Atlanta Falcons will again find themselves shorthanded this week when they host the New York Jets on Monday Night Football.

The team put out its pre-game injury report Saturday and running back Stephen Jackson, tackle Sam Baker and linebacker Akeem Dent are all out. Jackson will miss his third consecutive game after injuring a hamstring in Atlanta’s Week Two win over St. Louis. Baker is nursing a knee injury, while Dent is hampered by a sore ankle.

Among the players listed as questionable for Monday’s game, wide receivers Julio Jones and Roddy White were limited this week in practice. Cornerback Asante Samuel is also questionable with a thigh injury.

The entire team will get an extra week of rest after the Jets game as Week Six is Atlanta’s designated bye week.
